  The movie we’re choosing is the nun part ll. This movie came out in 2023 and is in the genre horror. It all starts when a priest is murdered in the chapel but this isnt the first time and after that it goes downhill. The main characters go on a hunt to figure out what is happening to spark up all these murders while fighting for their lives also. The nun has so many aspects on how to shoot a horror movie properly. It gives the jump-scares while also keeping us on the edge of our seats which is what we hope to achieve with our movie. In the nun ll there is a scene where it is a medium shot that pans from the main character to the nun which is a jump-scare. At first you dont know what is happening but then its shown which leaves you on edge. Having these types of scenes in our movie keeps the audience engaged. Today we will be looking into the movie "Us" produced and directed by Jordan Peele, released in 2019. In my opinion this is not your typical horror film. Throughout the entire movie, Peele effectively employs suspense and fear to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. A feeling of horror is created by the careful timing and utilization of visual and audio signals. Peele ups the bar on the entire intensity of the film's experience by breaking conventional horror clichés and expectations. In our final task, we want to include this as well. Looking at the CLAMPS, CAMS and editing of various horror movies helps to best understand what I should have in my short film.   Hey everyone! How are you all?  Thank you for joining me on my journey to deciding which genre I will be going with. After going through and researching genres such as sci-fi, horror and romance my group and I were able to pinpoint which genre fit what my group and I are looking for. Are you ready for the final reveal?!! Ok, I'll let you know in a bit but first let me tell you some of our honorable mentions. The first once was romance, which is honestly such a cute genre but it's conventions wasn't what were were looking for. Second and last is sci-fi which was a really interesting genre to research but its CLAMPS didn't sit right with us. That leaves us with one last genre making it our winner which is.... horror!   Hey everyone! How are you all? Within movies they're certain genres that catch the watchers attention and certain things that keep it. Romance is always a safe option because it will always catch an audiences attention. It can go the sappy cute way or the sad yet still romantic which is why it is such a great genre. The projects I decided to research were Hallmark romance movies.  For romance the part that captures is the way the love story builds up from the bottom up or the history that is behind the relationship. What isn't appealing is the cliche aspect. Giving the audience a taste of something that isn't real and having them believe in a delusional state of reality. This is a non appealing aspect but besides that romance movies are nice to watch.  Good evening everyone! How are you all? I will be dissecting the genre horror.  There are many camera angles, shots and movements in the horror genre. Extreme close-ups, tracking shots, wide shots, and perspective shots are frequently used in horror film cinematography. Because it tilts a picture to one side off its horizon, the Dutch angle, also known as the oblique angle, is a go-to horror angle. This particular camera perspective can add a weird or terrifying atmosphere to a scenario where the structured shots preceding and following it already feel unnatural.  Lighting, costumes and setting are very crucial in making horror films. Hey everyone, here is our group pitch. We have came up with two pitches and have decided on one.  1. A girl is talking to an online friend and decides to meet up with them one night and it ends up taking an unexpected turn. 2. Friends are sitting, watching the news when a missing poster of one of the friends shows up on the news. Who is that person sitting there with them and what happened with the friend? Now we will go into further detail about our first pitch. We are interested in our first pitch because it really piques our interest in the horror field. My name is Mariajose Martinez Lopez, and I'm 17 years old.  Prior to my 2013 move to the United States, I spent the first 6-7 years of my life in La Ceiba, Honduras, where I was born and raised.  My younger brother is 13 and my younger sister is 7, and I am the oldest of the three children. Of course, I live with my parents and my siblings! Living in the United States and Honduras are undoubtedly very different from one another. People are always at work, there are much more crowded cities, and kids spend all of their free time hanging out with their friends when they're not in school. Family dinners are less prevalent, while travel is more common. Traveling with my family is something I enjoy doing.
